Background

This is the official announcement for the "Westlake International Symposium on Smart City Innovations 2020".

The event will be organized in collaboration with China Jiliang University (CJLU) in Hangzhou, China.

Purpose

The idea of the international symposium is to share knowledge and experiences in the areas of Smart City Innovations.
It is aimed at researchers and developers from academia and industry as well as experienced students working in those areas of specialization.

 

Topics of Interest

The symposium will cover (but is not limited to) the following topics of strong global importance and visibility:

  • ICT for Smart Cities, Ubiquitous and Pervasive Computing
  • Internet of Things (IoT, Building IoT)
  • Big Data Analysis, Data Science, Cloud Computing
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Cyber Security and Blockchain for smart cities
  • Smart Education, Creative Design
  • Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship
  • Smart Environment (Energy, Water, Smart Grids)
  • Transport (Smart Mobility), Logistics and Sustainability
  • Smart Cities in China and the World: State of the Art examples

Presentations will be accepted for the conference sessions and for the poster sessions.

 

Types and duration of presentations

  • Paper Presentation: 20 minutes
  • Lecture/Tutorial: 45 minutes

Submission Instructions for Abstracts: The abstracts should be prepared according to the following format: Abstract of about 250 words, MS-Word or PDF format, in English. Poster (preview) prepared in A4 format (210x297mm) as an MS-Word or PDF document.

 

Official Language

The official language of the symposium will be English.
